flowers

This was my first painting after a long break..
And this is indeed the first "flower painting" after a very very long time (I can't remember when I painted the flowers last) ...
And of course this was the first painting with prabal after a long time again :) ...See Prabal's painting here.



I started off with the idea that I will paint as less details as possible. I personally liked the result, but not quite. I thought the background is a little distracting.
What d'ya think ?

    I think the background is queit awesome.. Gives a bit of dreamy feel to it.
    The painting looks great. I liked the space in it as compared to my painting.

    It's beautifully painted! Regarding the background maybe if you had continued with blue tones on the right shading it accordingly.
    It's refreshing nevertheless.

    Thanks a lot. EVen I feel the same for background. I could have continued with the hues of blue, instead used a neutral grey.
