Cow Herd

I had taken a photograph of these cows during a cycling trip and wanted to paint since then.
There was a subtle mist and the morning sun was shining down upon the tar road and the green grass.

Am not very happy with the results as the overall painting turned dull :( .
Prabal had warned me to wash and dry the paper before painting..but was too lazy/impatient for that procedure :)

  1. Hello PC
I think you have done well with this one, I like the cows. I do not remember seeing black and white cows while I lived in India but we have lots of them in the UK. Keep up the good work.

  11. Hi PC! It may not be as good as your reference photo, as you feel, but I like this painting! Its not always necessary to wash and dry the paper.Have a small bit of the same paper and paint on it first so that you know how dull will the color be after it dries up and accordingly add more paint to get the correct value :)
